Zit jij nu opgerold op de bank
zoals je meestal zat
Naast mij
voor mij
met de blik waarin
ik iets zag
niets zag
of toch iets?
De laatste keer nog
Diepliggende ogen
doorrookte huid
rimpeling om jouw mond
die langzaam omhoog krulde
Bijna tergend
wanneer ik verschoof
Zodat ik iets zag
niets zag
of toch….?

It was something with
white butterflies, blue skies,
eternal fairytales

cheeks red of happiness
in waving green grass

I forgot my yellow life jacket
Left my safety measures at home
Fell flat on my face
Now purple
The next time I’ll change
I’ll except all challenges
seeing new colouring
of an endless rainbow
